The experience
This route starts with Lake Nakuru's rhinos and lakeshore before two nights in the Maasai Mara. You then cross into Tanzania for two nights in the Serengeti.
It finishes on the Ngorongoro Crater rim and floor before ending in Arusha, which makes it easy to add Kilimanjaro or the coast afterwards.

Day 1 / Nairobi → Lake Nakuru National Park
Drive via the Great Rift Valley viewpoint to Lake Nakuru National Park for an afternoon game drive.
Day 2 / Lake Nakuru → Maasai Mara
A morning game drive on the way out of the park, an optional boat ride at Lake Naivasha, then the drive via Narok to the Maasai Mara.
Day 3 / Maasai Mara National Reserve
A full day in the reserve with packed lunches, reaching the Mara River area in the afternoon.
Day 4 / Maasai Mara → Isebania → Serengeti
Game drive across the Mara to Ololoo Gate, then continue to the Isebania border and into the Serengeti.
Day 5 / Serengeti National Park
A full day in the Serengeti following the herds and the predators that move with them.
Day 6 / Serengeti → Ngorongoro
Game viewing through the Serengeti, an optional stop at Olduvai Gorge, then on to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Day 7 / Ngorongoro Crater → Arusha
A game drive on the crater floor, then the drive to Arusha.

Kenya–Tanzania safaris cross at Namanga or Isebania/Sirari. Allow time for immigration on both sides and carry your passport, visas or eTA and any vaccination certificates required for your nationality and route. Check current entry requirements before you travel.
