Bwindi
Mountain gorilla trekking in an ancient rainforest.

Destinations · East Africa
Gorillas, chimpanzees and the source of the Nile.
Uganda is East Africa's primate destination. Mountain gorilla trekking in Bwindi and chimpanzee tracking in Kibale combine with savannah parks such as Queen Elizabeth and Murchison Falls.
The country
Most Uganda safaris start in Entebbe or Kampala and follow the west of the country, where the main parks lie in a long arc from Murchison Falls in the north to Bwindi in the south-west.
Gorilla trekking needs a permit from the Uganda Wildlife Authority, issued in limited numbers. We confirm permit availability before your booking is finalised.
