The experience
This mid-range safari follows the popular Mara–Nakuru route with more comfortable stays. You spend two nights at a lodge near the Maasai Mara, with an afternoon drive, a full day and a sunrise drive.
On day three you travel to Nakuru, with an optional stop at Lake Naivasha, stay at Buraha Zenoni and finish with a morning in Lake Nakuru National Park.

Day by day
Timings are approximate. Your guide adjusts each day around road and wildlife conditions.
Day 1 / Nairobi → Maasai Mara
Leave Nairobi in the morning and stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint before continuing through Narok to the Maasai Mara. Arrive at the lodge in the late afternoon and go out for an introductory game drive.
Day 2 / Maasai Mara National Reserve
Leave before 8am with packed lunches for a full day, reaching the Mara River area for hippos and crocodiles. Return in the evening for dinner.
Day 3 / Maasai Mara → Nakuru
A sunrise game drive and breakfast at the lodge, then the drive to Nakuru, with an optional boat ride at Lake Naivasha on the way.
Day 4 / Lake Nakuru National Park → Nairobi
Breakfast, then a game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park looking for rhinos, buffalo, zebras and waterbirds. Leave the park late morning and drive to Nairobi.
