Day 1 / Arusha → Tarangire National Park
Meet your Tanzanian driver-guide in Arusha for a briefing and to meet other travellers, then drive to Tarangire for a game drive.
Day 2 / Lake Manyara National Park
A day of game viewing and birdwatching in Lake Manyara National Park, where the alkaline lake covers about two-thirds of the park.
Day 3 / Lake Manyara area → Serengeti
Drive to the Serengeti, reaching the gate at noon, then game drive through the afternoon to a central Serengeti campsite.
Day 4 / Serengeti National Park
A full day in the Serengeti with packed lunches, guided by where the herds and predators are being seen.
Day 5 / Serengeti → Ngorongoro
Half a day of game viewing in the Serengeti, then the drive to the crater rim, with an optional stop at Olduvai Gorge.
Day 6 / Ngorongoro Crater → Arusha
Six to seven hours of game viewing on the crater floor, then the return to Arusha.
