The experience

At a glance.

Naro Moru is the most direct trekking route up Mount Kenya. It climbs through montane forest to the Met Station, then crosses the moorland known as the Vertical Bog before following the Teleki Valley to Mackinder's Camp below the main peaks.

The summit attempt on Point Lenana starts in the early hours so you can reach the top around sunrise. It is a demanding trek at altitude, so arrive fit, pace yourself and talk to us about your experience before you book.
